There is a growing consensus that we have to act now or face potentially devastating consequences resulting from climate change. Emissions from primary agriculture, particularly livestock production, and from food production and distribution are in the spotlight.

Targets have been set to move the UK food supply chain towards being a lower carbon system and there is increasing pressure from consumers to ensure these are met.

At The E-CO2 Project we help farmers and some of the UK's leading food processors and retailers to benchmark their carbon output by delivering detailed energy and carbon assessments. Our assessments help to target carbon and profitability opportunities at farm level whilst reducing the impact on the environment and maintaining biodiversity. These recommendations may also fit within the wider retailer and processor environmental policies and targets.
